Cookie Policy

The company Elty sp. z o.o. would like to place cookie files on the user's computer to enhance the experience of using our websites and improve the quality of the services we offer.

New EU legislation and the amended Telecommunications Law have introduced new rules for informing users about how cookies are used on websites. To properly protect the interests of users and the comfort of using the website that refers to this document, we have developed this Cookie Policy. We believe that user privacy protection and transparency in the use of their data are very important. Thanks to this information, the user has the relevant knowledge, which increases satisfaction with using our websites.

I. What are cookies?

A cookie is simply a small text file containing data stored when a user visits a website. It is designed to enable the recall of information about what the user did on those websites in the past. These may include data on activities such as clicking specific links or pages, logging into a user profile, or reading page content that occurred months or even years ago.

There are several types of cookies. Without them, websites would not function in the way users have become accustomed to.

An example is a cookie that authorizes a user's login – without it, displaying the user's profile on a website would be impossible, or the website would display the message "Sorry, but you must log in" every time, because the user's data would not be remembered for that site.

The websites of the company operating our service want to use specific cookies to ensure the user has the most pleasant stay possible, while limiting their number and type to those that we believe are necessary and useful.

To this end, we have detailed the cookies used on our website and specified the purposes of using individual types of files, so that the user can consent to their use, decide to delete existing cookies, or disable cookie handling when browsing our websites.

II. What types of cookies are used on the websites of Elty Sp. z o.o.?

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These are cookies necessary to enable the user to navigate websites and use their features, such as accessing protected pages. Registration and login services could not be provided without them. These types of cookies do not collect any information about the user that could be used for marketing purposes, nor do they remember the places visited by the user on the Internet.

Performance Cookies

These are cookies that collect information about how the user uses websites, e.g., which pages they visit most often or whether they receive error messages. They do not collect information that identifies the user. All information collected is anonymous. Their purpose is to improve the performance of the websites.

Functionality Cookies

These are cookies that remember the choices made by the user (such as the user name, language preferences, or region of origin) and provide personalized features. They are used to remember changes made by the user regarding font size and type, as well as other parts of the websites that the user can customize to their needs. They can also provide services needed by the user, such as watching videos or commenting on a blog. The information they collect can be kept anonymous. These files cannot track other websites browsed by the user.

Targeting/Advertising Cookies

These are cookies used to present advertisements or messages tailored to the user and their interests. Sometimes, targeting/advertising cookies are linked to other websites, such as Facebook.

Within the four categories of cookies above, they are also divided into temporary (session cookies) and more permanent (persistent cookies).

Session cookies collect information about user activities only during the given session. Such a session starts when the website is opened and ends when it is closed. The cookies are then permanently deleted.

Persistent cookies are those that remain on the user's phone or computer for a specified period of time. They are automatically activated when visiting a given website.

Another distinction is between first-party cookies and third-party cookies. First-party cookies are placed by the websites of Elty Sp. z o.o. that the user visits, while third-party files are placed by other entities.
