Functionality and application
The main task of the module is to collect signals in the form of PWM pulses and make them available for reading in the master system. This is done by sending appropriate commands using the protocol Modbus RTU via the bus RS485. The module is ideal for automation systems, readings from industrial sensors, and advanced process control systems.

Industrial isolation and protections
The board implements dual power and signal isolation for RS485 communication. This ensures a high level of reliability and very high resistance to electromagnetic interference in harsh environments. Built-in TVS diodes (Transient Voltage Suppressor) effectively suppress voltage spikes and transients in the circuit, protecting the system against lightning strikes and electrostatic discharges (ESD). In turn, the polymer PTC fuse and protective diodes ensure resistance to overcurrent and overvoltage, stabilizing power consumption and output voltage.
