Smart MS1 Zigbee rain sensor 3.0. It enables reliable precipitation detection, making it ideal for automating tasks such as closing roof windows, retracting roller blinds and awnings, or turning off irrigation systems. The module works with popular platforms (including eWeLink, Home Assistant) and requires a Zigbee gateway (hub) for proper operation.

Compact and well-thought-out design
The device stands out for its solid and lightweight construction. The battery detection surface is equipped with a rubber seal that protects the internal electronics from water and dust ingress, ensuring compliance with the IP66 standard. There are two mounting holes for screws on the back panel – this is the recommended, safest way to install it outdoors (e.g., on a balcony, roof, or gutter), which is much more durable than using double-sided tape. The module is powered by two standard AAA batteries, under which there is also a pairing button.
Integration with Home Assistant
The eWeLink MS1 sensor is adapted to work with the Home Assistant system. It works seamlessly within ZHA and Zigbee2MQTT integrations without the need to install additional converters (it is usually detected as a reliable eWeLink SNZB-05 flood sensor). To enter pairing mode, simply hold the dedicated button for 5 seconds until the LED indicator starts flashing.
Installation example
Thanks to its small dimensions, the sensor can be discreetly mounted near windows, on window sills, or on the edges of roof gutters, which ensures a quick reaction to the first drops of rain.
