HLK-LD2450 radar module - motion tracking and detection 24GHz
The HLK-LD2450 is an advanced 24GHz millimeter-wave radar module designed for precise real-time detection and tracking of moving objects. The sensor uses FMCW technology and intelligent algorithms to measure distance, angle, and speed, making it an excellent solution for Smart Home systems, office automation, and smart lighting.

Compact design and flexible connection
The module features extremely small dimensions, which significantly facilitates the construction of custom IoT devices. It is equipped with two types of external connection interfaces: a standard pitch socket and pin headers. Both connectors provide power and a serial port signal.
Interface and principle of operation
The radar transmits the collected data on the position and speed of tracked objects directly via the UART serial port at a default baud rate of 256000 bps (3.3V logic level). The system requires a 5V power supply from a source capable of delivering over 200mA of current. The manufacturer also provides PC visualization software, which allows you to easily test the accuracy of the radar's operation.
Mounting recommendations and detection area
The best results of the module's operation are achieved with wall mounting at a height of 1,5 to 2 meters, which prevents the influence of potential overhead interference. The device also handles the detection of human body micro-movements, and with proper positioning, it reliably tracks the location of targets up to 6 meters.
