The TOF (Time of Flight) series laser sensor is an innovative solution for precise distance measurements in both indoor and outdoor environments. Thanks to its built-in controller and advanced rangefinder algorithm, the device reaches a range of up to 7.8 metres with an accuracy of ±4 cm, guaranteeing stable and repeatable measurement results. The sensor operates at a wavelength of 940 nm and features a narrow viewing angle (FOV) of 2° ~ 3°, which translates into a high resistance to light interference of up to 100,000 LUX.

Operating principle


TOF (Time of Flight) is an absolute distance sensing technology, which means that the sensor emits calibrated near-infrared light that is reflected when it encounters an object. The sensor calculates the difference in time or phase between the emission and reflection of the light, converting it into distance to the detected object, thus generating depth information. This technology is used, among other applications, in the detection of the presence of people, obstacle avoidance systems in robots and automatic focusing in cameras.
