Sonoff SNZB-02B AirGuard TH Lite Zigbee temperature and humidity sensor
Sonoff SNZB-02B from the AirGuard series is an advanced, ultra-compact temperature and humidity sensor operating on the Zigbee 3.0 standard. Thanks to an industrial-grade Sensirion chip, the device provides highly precise data, enabling analysis of the dew point and VPD parameter. The sensor is perfect as a smart home component, supporting automation.
Key features:
- High measurement precision: accuracy of ±0.2°C (temperature) and ±2% RH (humidity).
- Fast refresh: data updated every 5 seconds for full real-time control.
- Advanced analysis: monitoring of the dew point and VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) parameter.
- Efficient power supply: up to 2 years of operation on two standard AAA batteries.
- Historical memory: free access to cloud data from the last 6 months with export capability.
- Versatility and compatibility: Zigbee 3.0 standard, support for open-source platforms and Apple Home (via Matter Bridge).
Precision you can rely on
The sensor is equipped with an industrial-grade chip from the Swiss company Sensirion. Thanks to it, it precisely records even the smallest changes in the environment. The accuracy parameters are as follows:
- Temperature measurement accuracy: ±0.2°C
- Humidity measurement accuracy: ±2% RH
- Measurement refresh rate: every 5 seconds

Compact design for any space
The device stands out with an exceptionally slim housing (width of only 27.8 mm, thickness of 20 mm). Its small dimensions allow it to be placed in small and demanding spaces, such as guitar cases, jewelry boxes, or wine cellars. The sensor can be stuck on or hung freely thanks to the included lanyard.

Hidden threats under full control
The device goes beyond basic measurements, supporting the monitoring of the dew point and the VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) indicator. Monitoring the dew point helps prevent water condensation and mold growth on walls, furniture, and valuables in time. VPD, on the other hand, is a true compass for growers, allowing them to maintain ideal transpiration conditions for plants.

No more worries about low battery levels
The sensor is powered by two standard AAA (LR03) batteries, which provide a lifespan of up to 2 years. The design allows for quick cell replacement without the need for specialized tools. Enjoy long-lasting and maintenance-free operation, without pulling cables or charging.

*Battery life is a theoretical value obtained in SONOFF laboratories. Actual operating time may vary depending on the environment, operating conditions, and firmware version.
Intelligent detection and automation
Customize smart scenes to your needs. After setting an optimal temperature or humidity range, the system can send you an instant notification when it is exceeded. The sensor can also automatically turn on a fan, humidifier, or dehumidifier to restore ideal conditions in the room.

Let the room decide, not the heater
Place the sensor where you actually spend your time. It measures the actual temperature in the center of the room, not right next to the radiator. Use the SNZB-02B model as an external reference sensor for thermostats and valves to maintain ideal thermal comfort. The device works perfectly with the Sonoff TRVZB smart thermostatic radiator valve.

Data history from the last 6 months
In the app, you will gain access to a free cloud storing measurement data from the last 6 months. View temperature, humidity, dew point, and VPD trends at any time. The data export option facilitates in-depth analysis of environmental parameters supported by hard evidence.

Versatile compatibility
The sensor integrates seamlessly with the Apple Home ecosystem via the Matter Bridge. Based on the reliable Zigbee 3.0 standard, the design allows for instant connection with a wide range of popular Zigbee gateways and open-source platforms.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- How long does the sensor work on batteries?
The SNZB-02B model is powered by 2 AAA batteries. Operating time varies depending on usage and environmental conditions, but it is generally up to 2 years. To maximize battery life, ensure the sensor is within the optimal range of the Zigbee gateway (this minimizes the number of communication retries). - Can the sensor be used outdoors?
The device is not waterproof. We strongly advise against using it outdoors or in places exposed to direct contact with water or heavy flooding. - Where can I see the dew point and VPD parameters?
Dew point and VPD are automatically calculated based on the measured temperature and relative humidity. You can check their values and trend curves on the History page in the app. If the curves are not visible, tap the gear icon in the top right corner of the History page (Settings), and then use the "+/-" icon next to the selected parameter to enable their display. - What is the VPD parameter and where is it applied?
VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) is an indicator defining the difference between the amount of water vapor that air can contain at a given temperature and its actual amount. This parameter (usually given in kPa) is extremely useful in plant cultivation, greenhouses, and automatic climate control systems. It evaluates evaporation and transpiration conditions. Low VPD means humid air and slow evaporation, while high VPD means drier air and intense evaporation.
